Citizens have come out again in protest against gay marriage.
Hundreds of citizens have come out in protest at Skënderbej Square to convey the message that the family is sacred and must be protected.
Citizens have also signed the petition for the protection of the family. An initiative of the Albanian Coalition for Family and Life gathered in the center of Tirana, young women, grandparents and parents with children, for the "Manifesto of Life".
10 non-negotiable demands are in the petition that was signed by the citizens, which will then be sent to the Parliament.
They are against including in the law the right of a woman to become a surrogate mother, or as it is called a surrogate mother.
A surrogate mother is a woman who becomes pregnant through an embryo created by in vitro fertilization, and carries a fetus in her uterus until birth on behalf of another couple, who is unable to give birth to a child in the normal way.
