The news that the US Secretary of State will visit the Western Balkans has been confirmed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Montenegro, who had a conversation with the US chief diplomat.

Ibrahimovic met with Rubio on the first day of the meeting of foreign ministers of NATO member countries in Brussels.
"A short but substantive conversation on current bilateral and regional topics, which I had with the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio. We will continue it in Podgorica during his visit to Montenegro and the region, which he announced to me this year," Ibrahimovic wrote on his X account.
He announced that they exchanged views on bilateral and regional issues, emphasizing the importance of continued dialogue and partnership between Montenegro and the US, especially regarding common security challenges.
"Rubio's visit would constitute an additional opportunity to advance bilateral cooperation and confirm the strong allied relations between the two countries," the Montenegrin Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
