For Chief Prosecutor Olsian Çela, relations between the Parliament and independent institutions need to be improved.
At the Assembly table with the heads of independent institutions, the chief prosecutor added that the integration process presents new challenges and there may be a need to adapt our inter-institutional communication.
"It is a delicate process because for so long there has been talk about the independence of the institutions and the legal constitutional framework approved a few years ago that is being tested and that I believe has been functional so far. We would like the steps that will be taken in the future to be quite careful, taking into consideration the approach we take in our relationship with the Assembly.
Without question, the Assembly is the one that makes the laws, sees the need for their change and we are positive contributors in every process. The integration process presents new challenges and the need to adapt our inter-institutional communication may arise. In this perspective, if the research process that can be done for something does not go well and is improved, the best experiences in the EU should be taken into consideration", said Çela.
