The court hearing on the "Partizani" case has concluded after about six hours, during which Jamarbër Malltezi read over 200 pages of material and documentation to refute the charges brought against him.
According to the announcement, the next session has been postponed to February 23, at 10:00 AM.
During the hearing, Malltezi had a verbal clash with the panel regarding the manner in which the prosecutors were addressed, claiming that they had made false statements.
" I have over 30 false statements that also constitute a criminal element on the part of the prosecutors ," declared Malltezi, while the court intervened by asking him to address them only with the term "prosecutor".
He said that the materials presented by him are extensive and include documents, maps and photographs, adding that some of them will be published soon.
" We have made part of it public and part of it as a publication. Within four days it will be released as a book, so that libraries can have it for students and teachers, as an opportunity to see where political justice can slip ," said Malltezi.
During his speech, he raised accusations of personalized decisions and unequal treatment, also mentioning specific cases, which he described as "grotesque elements."
" There were as many of those grotesque elements as you want, which we clearly showed that we were dealing with lies, " he said, adding that, according to him, there were also problems in the legal framework of the case.
