Over the past few hours, the situation in most of the country has been calmer, also due to the easing of rainfall.

However, Civil Protection structures, municipalities, OSHEE, water supply and sewage systems, and the Armed Forces have continued work on the ground, adding measures to prevent possible consequences from the increased rainfall predicted in the coming hours.

The Ministry of Defense announced that continuous monitoring of river levels, embankments and road infrastructure continues without interruption, while field interventions are being carried out with high intensity to guarantee the safety of residents in the affected areas.

Situation in the regions:

Lezha District

Work is underway with 12 dump trucks and 2 excavators on the Vaini Lagoon embankment. Flooding in this area is limited to agricultural lands.

In Kurbin, work continues on the repair of the Skuraj-Gallatë-Vinjollë road and filling the shoulders of the bridges. In Mirditë, work is being carried out on the Rrëshen-Bukmirë axis with heavy equipment.

In the Fan and Selitë units, the rehabilitation of rural roads continues. The Drin River has a decreasing trend. The water supply is normal.

Durres District

Due to low-intensity rainfall, the Erzen, Ishëm and Zezë rivers have not recorded any increase in level.

The cleaning of drainage channels in Durrës continues with the help of the municipality and the Irrigation Directorate. Meanwhile, works to strengthen the embankment of the Droje River in the village of Dukagjin have been completed.

Interventions to clean canals and roads in Borizana and Cudhi continue. Fortunately, there is a tendency for the water level in agricultural lands to decrease.

Fier District

River level The Seman River is within the embankments, but has overflowed its bed, which has caused flooding of agricultural lands in the villages of Imesht, Seman and Suk.

Referring to the data obtained on the flows of the Vjosa River at the Memaliaj Bridge as well as the current level at the Mifoli Bridge, in cooperation with the structures of the Fier Municipality, measures have been taken to notify the administrative units that lie along the course of the Vjosa River.

National and rural roads are passable normally. The situation on the Mbrostar embankment is also being monitored.

Vlora Region

The situation in Vlora also appears to be more stable. In coordination with neighboring prefectures, the water level in the Vjosa River is being monitored.

There are 67 Armed Forces personnel, 17 vehicles, 5 boats and 2 suction pumps in support. In Selenica, work is underway to unblock the Selenica-Rroma segment.

In Saranda, the situation is stabilized. All roads are passable except for the Metoq farmers' bridge.

In Finiq, work is also underway to make the Vrion–Aliko road passable. The Vlora hydroelectric power plants are working at full capacity.

Dibër District

Emergency teams on the ground have been working for hours to repair the damage caused to the infrastructure as a result of the previous day's rainfall.

In Bulqiza, work is underway to unblock the road to the new city.

In Dibër, work is underway in Luzni, Zall Dardhë and Muhur to open the stream beds.

In Mat, teams are also working to clean the roads near the hospital, on the Vig-Macukull, Derjan, Prell, Mesuç–Laç, Vinjoll, Gjalish, Karicë, Batërr, Selicë, Stojan, etc. axes.

The Armed Forces and local structures are working intensively in Rukaj to open two streams that pose a danger to homes.

Power and water supply is normal and national roads are passable.

Shkodra District

Maximum attention is being paid to work in Fushë-Arrëz, in Qafë Mali, where there has been damage to rural segments due to landslides and rocks.

There is interference in Malësia e Madhe, due to the increase in the flow of the Thatë stream.

Berat District

The level of the Osum River in Berat has dropped from 4 m to 3.65 m, but there is still water in the lands of Veterrik and Morava.

In Poliçan, the waters have receded. In Dimal, the Osum River has engulfed 13 hectares of agricultural land in Arrës and Çiflik.

Meanwhile, monitoring of the situation of local structures continues.

Korca District

The situation is improving. In Maliq, the level of Devoll and Dunavec is decreasing. Water in agricultural lands is limited.

There is also an improvement in the situation in Pustec, Pogradec and Kolonjë.

Gjirokaster District

The level of the Vjosa River in Memaliaj is below the critical point. It is also on a downward trend in Përmet.

National axes are all passable.

The contractor teams are working on the Kolonjë-Golem axis, the Suhë-Poliçan axis and on several rural roads in Tepelena.

Elbasan District

In Librazhd, due to the water level at the Murrashi Bridge, a family will be evacuated.

Tirana Region In Rrogozhina, the river level has dropped and the situation is stabilizing.

Kukes District

The roads where rocks and debris fell have now been cleared and are passable.

OSHEE teams across the country are working around the clock to restore power supply to several remote areas.

The Ministry of Defense and the National Civil Protection Agency, together with subordinate structures, remain in continuous monitoring of the situation and in direct contact with local structures, emergency teams and responsible institutions for immediate intervention in the event of worsening weather conditions.
