Severe weather has created problems in several areas of the southern part of the country, causing landslides in Delvina and flooding along the Orikum coastline.

In Delvina, the most problematic situation has been recorded in the oldest neighborhood of the city, Beqirefend, where visible landslides have been observed. According to information from the field, the mass of soil has descended near several homes, but fortunately no human damage has been reported.

As a result of the created danger, several families have been evacuated, although there is still no official number on how many residents have left their homes. Services from the Delvina Municipality, as well as residents of the area themselves, have intervened on the ground, with the aim of stabilizing the situation and avoiding further danger.

The landslide also affected a 500-year-old cypress tree, which was carried forward by the mass of soil, sliding along with it.

Problems have also been reported on the Orikum coastline, where a strong wave of water has penetrated the urban area. As a result, several businesses and homes near the coast have been flooded, while water has also covered the main road along the coastline.

Local residents have described the situation as unusual, while it is initially believed that the phenomenon is related to natural conditions, such as high tides, strong winds and high waves. The sea level rose by about 1.5 m.

The Kukës Region was also hit by heavy rain accompanied by strong winds in the afternoon, while snowfall has begun in the mountainous areas.

Snow has also fallen on the Dukagjin Field–Kalimas Tunnel segment, part of the National Road. The road is currently open to traffic, while the maintenance company's snow removal vehicles are on site to salt and clean the segment.

Meanwhile, the contractor maintaining the national roads in Tropoja reports that as a result of the rainfall, there has been a fall of inert materials and stones on the Dushaj-Lekbibaj axis. The company "Florida" is working to clean and return this road axis to normal. The circulation of vehicles has not been hindered.
