Doctor Ilir Alimehmeti spoke about the budget of the health sector, saying that it is the lowest among EU countries.
He has also shown that the representative offices of the largest international companies have left Albania, where in 2014 we had 13 representative offices and now only 3 remain.
"The fund we have for the 2024 budget for health is the lowest in Europe. This means that even the purchasing power that a small nation like us has, means that it is not the best possible market for a company and we do not have a situation where the Albanian government has the luxury of removing as in 2014, the representative large international companies of the largest companies that exist in the world because many of them have left, where at that time we had 13 representative offices and now only 3 remain, so this element comes as a result of the behavior towards the government.
One last issue also has to do with the part that we in Albania don't know how many people there are, how much is needed, how many are sick, how much you have to prepare for.

Alimehmeti also spoke about the lack of the main medicines for curing diseases.
"The drugs that are missing from the market now or that were missing before, are many, it is not just one.
It is not a disease, you mentioned 2 names of drugs, but there is much more than that, there are shortages, there are also in other areas, for example, who has needed antibiotics recently since the flu season has passed, it will be clear that many of them were missing or of poor quality and as a result they are forced to ask the pharmacist and find alternative solutions", said Alimehmeti for Syri Tv.
