Lawyer Arben Llangozi has issued strong statements regarding the detention of journalist Elton Qynos by SPAK.
According to him, Prime Minister Edi Rama is also implicated in the interception of investigative materials for the "Dumani case" that journalist Elton Qyno has. Llangozi raised suspicions that with the seizure of the journalist, SPAK wanted to stop the publication of the transcripts of the interceptions.
“I think that the reason why SPAK wanted to receive Mr. Qyno's documentation was the fact that in these interceptions or rather transcriptions, there was a high number of publications , or more precisely, a high number of interceptions where a high number of politicians have appeared. Among them, to my knowledge, Mr. Rama has also appeared, who has been mentioned on several occasions and perhaps SPAK has two ways. Either he should restrain and stop these publications and not investigate them, or he asks to be investigated. This remains a question mark", said lawyer Llangozi.
He informed that the seizure decision requested by SPAK and approved by GJKKO has been appealed to the Strasbourg Court.
Also, he added that an appeal has been made to the GJKKO, as well as a criminal report has been filed against the judge who accepted the seizure of materials found in the journalist's apartment, office, car and personal belongings.
“We have followed several paths. Today we addressed the Strasbourg court because, as you already know, the Strasbourg court has stated that the freedom of the media should not be violated. And we think that soon, in a matter of days, we will have a decision on Mr. Qyno. Secondly, we have turned to the Special Court, asking them to remove the imposed sequestrations. At the same time, through the court, we will ask for the incompetence of the case, because we are dealing with subject incompetence. Today, a criminal complaint was also filed against the judge in the case who issued these measures against Mr. Qyno. Due to the fact that the judge abused her duty, she gave an invalid decision referring to the subject competence. If the court was not competent, then why did it give the decisions for housing control, etc.", said the lawyer.
