Police officers who died in the line of duty are honored, Skënder Hita:

As part of Martyrs' Day, tributes were held in honor of the officers who fell in the line of duty, in a ceremony attended by senior leaders of security institutions and family members of the martyrs.

The Director General of the State Police, Skënder Hita, in his speech emphasized the symbolism of this day for every police officer, describing the uniform as an oath and responsibility that goes beyond daily duty.

"May 5, the Day of Martyrs of the State Police and the Homeland, is a day when the uniform is not only seen as a duty, but as an oath, as an invisible line between ordinary life and extraordinary sacrifice.

For every police officer, this day is both a mirror and a call. A mirror to see what weight the uniforms we wear have. Our martyrs teach us that the uniform is not honored by rank, but by character. It does not shine from the metal of the badge, but from the morality of the man who wears it.

On behalf of the State Police, today I express my deepest condolences to all Police officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.

"For those who left in the morning in uniform and did not have time to say goodbye, but returned to eternity with a flag, leaving behind a message that does not fade, that duty, when worn with honesty, becomes larger than life," said Director Hita.
