The Special Court has left in force the security measure 'house arrest' for the former director of the Durrës Cadastre, Rajmonda Dashi.

The latter together with Ardian Malasi, already arrested, are suspected of having helped the two brothers Besian and Leonard Rama to clean the money that has as a source the activity of drug trafficking. According to the sources, it turns out that the brothers are Rajmonda Dashi's close family ties.

These suspicions were created after letters that arrived from Belgium, where the two brothers were convicted of drug trafficking.

While SPAK has discovered that Rajmonda Dashi, using her position, helped the two brothers so that the money collected from criminal activity was invested in property, already seized by the Special Prosecutor's Office.

We remind you that the former director of Cadastre in the city of Durrës Rajmonda Dashi was arrested by order of SPAK two days ago while she was in her office.

It is learned that she currently worked in the Cadastre Directorate in Kamëz and Vorë. The moment of the escort seems to have caused panic among the employees, as it is learned that there were 3 police officers who escorted him outside the premises of the institution.

On December 15, 2021, Rajmonda Dashi resigned as head of the Durrës Cadastre and Risena Xhaja was appointed in her place.

The investigation launched by SPAK came after a letter arrived from Belgium some time ago about money laundering and structured criminal group.

The two brothers, convicted by the Belgian authorities for offenses related to the trafficking of narcotics, during the exercise of this activity in special cooperation with the former head of the Durrës Cadastre, Rajmonda Dashi, and the third person arrested with the initials AM, have committed continuous illegal actions with the aim of laundering the income that they have benefited from carrying out criminal activity.

This money was then invested in real estate in Albania. More specifically, Rajmonda Dashi has carried out actions in the transfer of wealth in order to hide the illegal origin; concealing or covering up ownership or rights related to property, knowing that this property is the product of a criminal offense or criminal activity; the acquisition of ownership, knowing at the moment of taking it over, that this property is the product of a criminal offense or criminal activity.

SPAK informed that during the investigation the assets and the legal actions carried out on them were identified and the Special Court was requested to seize 49 assets in total, and in particular 12 apartments in Fier, 4 in Tirana, 3 garages in Tirana, 27 bank accounts , 1 trading company and 2 cars. The investigation continues for the identification of other persons involved in this criminal activity and the identification of other assets.

Currently, Rajmonda Dashi was appointed specialist for the area of ​​Vora and Kamza.
