Journalist Ferdinand Dervishi said that in the State Police the fear of wiretapping is so great that, according to him, many high-ranking police officials have fled abroad under the pretext of incurable diseases.
In an interview for the "Review" show on "Euronews Albania", Dervishi stated that in the history of interceptions by Sky and EnchroChat, high-level police officers were implicated, and according to him, this is what those who have seen the files say.
"The fear about this history of wiretapping is very great. So big that some police officials at the level of high crime chiefs have fled the country on the grounds that they have incurable diseases. This is not a number one or two, it is a very large number.
They fled abroad under the excuse that they are curing incurable diseases, they received long reports and this is the big impact. Those who have had the opportunity to look at these files speak of high-level involvement in the State Police ," Dervishi said.
