The General Directorate of Prisons has announced changes in the chain of command in the prison institutions in Fushë-Krujë and Durrës.
At the Fushë-Krujë Prison, Director Apostol Luca has been relieved of his duties and replaced by Ervis Dedej , who has extensive experience in the penitentiary system. Also, Chief Commissioner Fatjon Sadikaj , with over 20 years of experience in the Prison Police, has been appointed as Chief of Police.
Meanwhile, at the Durrës Penitentiary Institution, Serjan Mazrreku , who comes with experience in administration and the legal field, will hold the position of director . In the same institution, Chief Commissioner Florian Masha , with a long career in the State Police, has been appointed Chief of Police.
According to the official announcement, these changes aim to strengthen accountability, increase control, and establish higher standards in the functioning of penitentiary institutions.
"In the context of increasing security and improving management in the penitentiary system, changes have been undertaken in the management of several Institutions for the Execution of Criminal Decisions.
