The former General Director of the State Police, Ahmet Prençi, has stated that the work of a leader of this instance is very tiring, and in a way unaffordable for someone of an older age.
This is because, according to him, this function requires maximum commitment in terms of extended working hours, physical fatigue and frequent meetings with counterparts from other countries.
Asked if he would return to that post, Prençi stated that he would not do such a thing, expressing his belief that younger men can handle the task better.
" The task of the director of the State Police is very difficult in Albania. I am so enthusiastic that a career officer comes as minister. Other times have come and I cannot take it upon myself to return to the State Police. I've been saying since I left, I can't handle it. Day and night you are at work, the interventions require a 24/7 dynamic. That's why I say that our age can't handle it. Let the young guys come, who can handle it even better physically ", said Prençi.
