Analyst Neritan Sejamini has spoken about the resolution approved by the Assembly of Albania, which condemns the attack in the north of Kosovo.
Sejamini called the resolution delayed and said that Albania, through the government, should have been on Kosovo's side as soon as the terrorist attack happened, but failed to do so.
"The resolution is a means of communication, a symbol of an attitude. What should the Albanians have done since the moment things happened in Kosovo? They should all be united behind Kosovo and the government of Kosovo. We failed to do this, our government failed, at the most important moment.
Albania, every time the issue of Kosovo is raised in front of Serbia, should all be united in a pro-Kosovo voice, without judgment or prejudice. We failed to do this. A compromise was reached. Do we really need to fight among ourselves to reach a compromise for Kosovo?
These are representatives of the citizens, I am convinced that if you ask the Albanians, would they condemn what happened, they would be ready immediately, while the representatives of the Albanians are very late for this they arrived today. Last but not least, much ado about nothing. All the debates, megalomania, do not honor the important cause for which the resolution is being made. It is a symbolic act, it should be more solemn", said Sejamini.
As for Edi Rama's angry speech in the Assembly, Sejamini proposed an "experiment", watching it without audio, because according to the analyst, Rama's gesticulations are enough to understand the situation Rama is in.
Sejamini said that Rama's actions in relation to Kosovo are mainly related to his personal interest.
"I don't want to discuss the speech. Take away Rama's voice and for 50 minutes... If you are going to judge in what state someone is speaking, gesticulations are very important. Do an experiment and watch for five minutes.
I think that Mr. Rama is involved in this issue for his own interests. Today he has a role that wants to keep Kosovo under pressure, so that the Albanian factor is not ignited by national feelings, but there is some pressure.
At the end of the day, he knows one thing, after this moment passes, a political solution will be needed. The moment of security will pass, in the end a political solution will come. Those who want this, want the parties to sit down without too many pretensions. Rama is playing this role for the sake of the USA or other Western powers.
Lord Rama has the opportunity to do this, because his power in Albania is not threatened.
Can you imagine Mr. Rama taking this position if his power in the Assembly depended on a single vote? If his power would be endangered within Albania?
Since we have his consolidated power, with a fragmented opposition, which does not endanger him, we have media that does not investigate and criticize him, Rama has abandoned domestic politics and has the luxury of dealing with foreign politics.
If there were today the EU and the USA demanding accountability for crime and corruption, Mr. Rama's position would be weak. He gives them this role of peaceful and inside there is no kind of disturbance. He may not live in Albania for weeks and months and his power is not endangered. Parliament is only asking him to come, to be seen, to speak...", Sejamini said, among other things, in the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV.
