From fields to stadiums, sports halls, and sports infrastructure owned by the government or municipalities will be given to the private sector for the purpose of their development and that of the surrounding areas.
"With the stadium and sports palace in Vlora, the stadium and sports palace in Durrës, the stadium and sports palace in Korça that will follow the development model of the "Air Albania" stadium. The same applies to the "Selman Stermasi " stadium," says Elira Kokona.
A similar formula will be used for public properties. From former military barracks to warehouses, including factories and ports. State assets will be exchanged or demolished for private interests. In return, the state will receive offices for the administration.
" The project of using public buildings and assets to create offices for public administration is a real project. We will be able to provide offices for over 13 thousand public administration employees," adds Kokona.
All faiths under one "roof". This is what the government aims to achieve through its latest project to establish the 'Faith Park', in the Petrela area of Tirana, near the Castle. With a focus on 'religious coexistence', the park will serve as a place that will unite different faiths.
" This space should be dedicated to promoting interfaith harmony and highlighting the importance of nature in spiritual and cultural life. Within the park there will also be restaurants adapted to the traditional cuisine of each religious community, as well as a pavilion with trees and plants that have special significance for religious beliefs ," said Kokona.
In order to implement these projects, the cooperation of citizens who own properties near public assets is also required.
"Because our goal is to create a development not only of our property, but also of the urban area."
Data from the National Privatization Agency shows that from 1991 to the present, 21,708 state properties worth almost 27.5 billion lek have been given to various businessmen.
Meanwhile, there are currently 536 public properties owned by the state in the privatization process. Most of them are located in Tirana, followed by Berat, Shkodra and Fieri./ A2CNN
