A serious road accident was recorded yesterday evening in the Fani area, in Mirdita, where six minors, cousins, were injured.
According to preliminary data, the vehicle was allegedly driven by a 16-year-old, who had taken the car and was traveling with five other minors. For reasons still unclear, the young man lost control of the vehicle, causing the vehicle to collide with a lighting pole.
The collision was violent, injuring all six minors. Sources close to the incident indicate that a 12-year-old girl is suspected of suffering serious injuries, including a fractured pelvis, while two other minors suffered fractures to their limbs.
Three other children also suffered various injuries as a result of the accident. The injured received first aid at the scene and were then transported to hospitals in Tirana for more specialized treatment. Six ambulances were deployed to transport them.
After the accident, the Police services and the investigation team arrived at the scene, and began work to document the full circumstances of the incident and determine the causes that led to the loss of control of the vehicle.
