A serious incident was recorded today in the city of Vlora, where a Ukrainian tourist died after drowning at sea, while her daughter is still in the hospital.
Regarding this incident, Edmond Breshanaj, head of Resuscitation at Vlora Hospital, says that the 44-year-old tourist arrived with no signs of life.
"Both mother and daughter arrived at the hospital around 12:00 in very serious condition. The 44-year-old patient arrived with no signs of life, we did everything but were unable to bring her back to life.
The 18-year-old girl also fell into a coma, but after the intervention she began to react after an hour - as her blood pressure dropped to 11. Now the girl's condition is stable, she has a chance to survive", said Edmond Breshanaj.
It is learned that the private beach did not have a coast guard and several people were escorted to the police station for the incident, including Municipal Police officers, who were tasked with controlling and monitoring the beach facilities.
According to the accounts of the citizen who risked his life to save the tourists, as well as other vacationers, the ambulance arrived at least half an hour late due to heavy traffic in the Lungomare area, where cars parked on the road often become an obstacle in the narrow lane of the promenade.
