Albania does not have foreign terrorist cells, unlike EU countries. This is what lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu said, commenting on the police action that arrested two people who had been holed up in a two-story tower block in Fushe Arrëz for two months, Erzen alias Hamza Uka and Julian Cumraku, who were suspected of preparing a terrorist attack.
In a Skype call for the show 'Repolitix' on Report TV, Spahiu said that the individuals have been neutralized in the preparatory phase, while emphasizing that if there is a terrorist act, the consequences will be severe.
"Albania does not have terrorist cells. We must bear in mind that the EU has many terrorist cells, because the presence of immigration is high. We are not dealing with individuals who have arrived but with Albanian citizens and this makes the state itself concerned. One of them was part of the commando troops in Iraq. It is important that such cells are neutralized. If there is a terrorist act one day, the consequences will be serious.
"We are lucky that it was neutralized in the preparatory phase. I hope that we are dealing with two crazy people who have created their own world without any connection to the terrorist cells in Syria, so they are two people who have created their own harem. It is one of the actions for which the police should be congratulated ," he said.
