Socialist MP Arben Pëllumbi said that the opposition is using the Investigative Commission to "fight" with the majority.
He emphasized that if the opposition will request the Commissions based on the procedure, the regulation of the Assembly and the Constitution of Albania, the ways of cooperation can certainly be found.
"Alibi has been created that the Investigative Commissions do not give us this and a cause has been built on this thing.
Does the fact that out of 8 requests, 8 were dropped as requests for the Investigative Commissions also cause questions? All of them were dismissed with the claim of the object when DP lawyers have drawn up such requests earlier.
In 10 requests, 2 parliamentary Commissions of Inquiry have been approved, when the rest began to no longer be a request for a Commission of Inquiry but a political war between the wings of who makes more commissions and who makes more requests for issues that were invented to set up a Commission Investigative, this is exactly where the conflict arose because we allowed it in the Investigative Commission on the issue of incinerators. The majority has shown its will not to obstruct the Investigative Commissions when they are such and are an instrument of the minority in accordance with the Constitution and the purpose for which the Investigative Commissions are established" , he told TCH.
So, the majority took on the role of arbiter between DP groups with these attitudes?
"Precisely because we did not want to take on the role of arbitrator and interfere in their internal struggle, we rejected these Commissions of Inquiry because, according to us, they were in violation. Someone in violation of the object, someone of the procedure, someone had a vote and a wrong signature. Each of the commissions has its own reasons for being rejected. Whoever wanted to undertake an Investigative Commission, it was enough for the reason for which we returned it or did not approve it, to fix it and bring it back to the parliament. However, it did not happen because they wanted to arrive at this kind of situation which has to do with the situation within the DP, it has to do with the fact that Berisha is non grata or that he is facing justice.
If we want to reach a consensus, the opposition must not use the Investigative Commission as a callus, so it must change its strategy on how to "fight" with the majority. If the opposition will try to have what it should have based on the procedure, the regulation of the Assembly and the Constitution of Albania, of course the ways of cooperation are found" , said Pëllumbi.
