The "Evangelismos" hospital, where His Beatitude, Archbishop Anastas has been hospitalized since Friday, has issued an official communique emphasizing that the health condition is extremely critical.
The health condition of the Archbishop has worsened on Saturday evening and the following hours are considered critical.
However, the Archbishop has not been placed on intubation.
The archbishop was hospitalized in Tirana on December 30, due to infection. His health condition worsened, as a result he had gastric bleeding, which led to the decision to transfer him to Greece.
It is also reported that Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited him at the hospital on Sunday afternoon, where he was informed by the professor of Pulmonology and Intensive Care, Anastasia Kotanidou, about the state of health of Archbishop Anastas.
