Paro Laçi strongly accuses Berisha: He ordered the murder of Bashkim Fino in '97, he would be executed in Shkodër

Former guard Paro Laçi, one of Berisha's closest people, tells previously unexplained events that happened in 1997. Paro Laçi says that Sali Berisha had planned the assassination of the prime minister of that time, Bashkim Finos.

Laçi also says that if Bashkim Fino were to enter Shkodër, his assassination was planned by order of Sali Berisha.

"Berisha gave an order, I was in Kurbin, if Bashkim Fino entered Shkodër, he would be executed. It was a real plan. Berisha's order was given, if Bushati would try and pass. In Mamurras he tried to kill Fatos Nano, he was accompanied by a large group of people. We're talking about '97. Bashkim Fino was a genuine plan. People died in 1991 when Bushati's supporters came out and accepted Berisha's orders to burn Laçi. It is all these crimes that weigh on Berisha", he said for "Report TV".

Fino was Prime Minister of Albania from March 9, 1997 to June 29, 1997, while on March 29, 2021 he passed away after being infected with Covid-19.
