Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu has spoken about the "Partizani" file, in which the former prime minister Sali Berisha is also under investigation for corruption.
Commenting on the non-appearance of the former prime minister in SPAK, the lawyer said that in these cases the judicial police officer has the obligation to notify the prosecution of the case for the person's non-appearance, at this moment the prosecution must submit a report to the Court, to say that the measure taken against the subject was not respected.
According to the lawyer, the law in these cases may require a more severe measure, the measure of house arrest, or the measure of prison arrest. Spahiu also made a prediction whether or not a more severe measure will be taken for Sali Berisha.
"I predict that they will not change the amount of insurance. Today, Sali Berisha still does not appear with a communicated charge. As I predict, they will enter a closed investigation and within a month, they will close the investigation and send the case to the court for trial. Berisha will go free before the court and the trial of the case will begin. "Berisha will probably not participate himself, but through lawyers he will ask to close the case with innocence", said lawyer Spahiu to Euronews Albania.
