The Special Court orders SPAK to launch investigations into MP Arjan Ndoja.
The GJKKO has ordered the SPAK to investigate Democratic Party MP Arjan Ndoja. The Democrat is accused of two criminal offenses: "money laundering" and "concealment or failure to declare assets."
Judge Erjon Çela, after reviewing the criminal case with the object of terminating the investigations in relation to proceeding 1804 of 2023, which came under subject matter jurisdiction from the Tirana Court of First Instance, and after ascertaining the absolute invalidity of the request to terminate the investigations, decided to return the acts to SPAK, ordering it to register criminal proceedings and initiate investigations.
The Special Court decided to transfer the acts to the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office as the prosecutor with subject matter jurisdiction to investigate a deputy.
According to the court, the status of the subject under investigation changed during the trial, therefore it is the competence of SPAK to investigate Arjan Ndoja.
Judge Çela returned the acts to SPAK and requests an investigation into two criminal offenses: "money laundering" and "concealment or failure to declare assets."
