The Toshkezi family has reacted again against the trio of judges of the Court of Appeals, Brikena Ukperaj, Marsela Pepi and Dritan Hasani, who reduced the sentence of Aksel Hoxha by 6 years. The latter, on the evening of April 19, 2023, killed 20-year-old Stiven Toshkezi.
On November 18, 2025, the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction in Tirana sentenced Aksel Hoxha to 12 years in prison, reducing it to 6 years.
"They manipulated justice in exchange for money. The Appellate Court's lawyers are defending Arbër Murataj, the son of Admir Murataj, known for the famous Rinas robbery," the family's reaction states.
The family denounces the manipulation of the file, which began in the first instance court by prosecutor Albert Demirneli, whom they accuse of trying to hide the facts to make things easier for the perpetrator.

They manipulated justice in exchange for money. The appeal lawyers are defending Arber Murataj, the son of Admir Murataj, known for the famous Rinas robbery, and Enzi Mazen, whose father is a well-known name in the courts and the prosecutor's office.
Neshat Shahin Maze works as a legal expert in the Court of Appeal, the Court of First Instance, the High Court, etc. In short, she knows the courts and prosecutors well and is directly influencing the manipulation of this file.
Enzi Maze was an accomplice in the murder that night, but today, thanks to his father's acquaintances, he continues his studies peacefully in Holland. So, with the proceeds of crime, Judge Ukperaj has sold the case by siding with the criminals.
But the manipulation of the file began in the Court of First Instance by the fraudulent prosecutor Albert Demirneli, who created a shameful file, removing and adding details at will, hiding evidence and changing testimony from page to page, all of which were done to facilitate the murderer.
He goes so far as to say in his final conclusions that the removal of the cutting tool, the knife, was done by the victim of the criminal offense and the murder occurred on the spot, after the latter attacked the defendant Aksel Hoxhaj.
But the perpetrator himself claimed that he had the knife with him that night because he was going to open boxes of creams since his father owns a cosmetics store.
Aksel Hoxha was caught with a knife in his pocket and at the age of 17 by a routine police operation. The prosecutor tried to hide this fact by telling the police officer Igli Molla that it was a worthless detail. Prosecutor Demirneli tried to hide facts to facilitate the perpetrator whom he calls a model citizen.
I don't know if Judge Ukperaj would have given 12 years in prison for the murderer if the victim had been her only son. This criminal with a magistracy degree is not called a mother. After she gave the verdict, she looked at me from the court window without batting an eyelash as I shouted "Now I understand why they kill judges, long live Elvis Shkembi!".
