Journalist Artan Hoxha commented on yesterday's opposition protest, analyzing its objectives and the way fireworks and explosives were used during the clash between protesters and police.
Hoxha explained that the purpose of the protest was not to take over state facilities or buildings, but rather a demonstration of strength and a message to the government. He emphasized the dangers that these devices pose not only to the participants, but also to law enforcement officers, and said that the use of fireworks and firecrackers during the protest poses a great risk to the lives of citizens.
Hoxha explained that the capsules explode with direct effect and can harm the person throwing them, as well as other protesters or the police:
" The only negative effect of this great scheme is that you can endanger the lives of citizens. Because the capsule itself explodes the explosive material and it spreads, being able to hit exposed parts of the body and the damage it takes can be extremely great. It can happen to the one who throws it himself, but it can also happen to the one who throws it by mistake ," he told "Euronews Albania".
The journalist explained that the use of capsules and fireworks is often intended for visual and media effect, being immediately picked up by international media, but this does not change the fact that explosives remain dangerous to the life and safety of everyone in the square.
