A 70-year-old pensioner from Librazhd has denounced an inappropriate situation related to the bureaucratic procedures and incorrect practices of the One company in Librazhd. He wants to break his contract, which ends on December 6, to prevent automatic renewal. However, a rude shop assistant asks him to pay for the entire month of December, along with the month of November, to close the contract.
According to European Union and Albanian consumer laws, as well as previous consumer experiences, the pensioner should only pay for the remaining 6 days of the contract. While contacting the central subscriber service of One Albania, he received contradictory information; at first he was told that he could only pay for 6 days, then he could pay for the whole month, after the employees of the store in Librazhd had suggested otherwise.
Moreover, after visiting the store, the pensioner received a message about activating a package with international minutes, without requesting this service. This appears to be a form of abuse and violation of trade norms, as no fiscal coupon has been offered. When he returned to the store, the saleswoman admitted that she had made a mistake, but apologized only after the insistence of the pensioner, whose conversation was recorded.
The pensioner, with the initials KA, has a modest pension and any excess spending is important to him. The company does not offer him a solution to this situation, and he needs to be given the opportunity to pay only for the remaining days of the contract in order to free himself from this abusive practice./ NOQ
