The lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu has stated that about 30 percent of the users of the SKY application, already declared illegal, are Albanians.
In an interview for Euronews Albania, he said that among the users, 8,000 of them are Albanians who stay in Albania, of which about 1,000 are senior officials.
Spahiu said that Europol has set up special investigation groups in Albania and that we may have arrests of officials who used this application.
" The SKY application is a type of communication network that is considered very reliable. SKy users have used mobile devices worth nearly 2,000 euros and had a subscription of up to 1,200 euros which ensured some kind of security in their communication.
It is strange that after English, Albanian is the second language in use. About 30% of users are Albanians. 8000 are users directly in Albania, of these nearly 1000 subjects are suspected to be officials. So there we can have levels of MPs, ministers, police chiefs, judges, prosecutors, customs officers, lawyers, experts, inspectors, military. This does not mean that 100% of them have committed criminal offences.
Europol has set up special groups of investigators, there is a group that is investigating in Albania due to the fact that even the high number of users is from Albania ", said the lawyer Spahiu.
