The Fier Prosecutor's Office has completed the investigation and sent for trial a police officer accused of stalking his ex-girlfriend, with whom he had a 17-year relationship.
The defendant is the citizen with the initials AM, who is charged with the criminal offense of "Stalking". According to the prosecution, the investigation began after the complaint was filed on February 10, 2025 by the citizen LC, who stated that she had separated from the officer in 2024, but he had continued to contact and harass her constantly.
According to the investigative file, the officer is suspected of having committed repeated acts through phone calls and physical contact, exerting psychological pressure on the ex-partner and creating a state of anxiety and fear for her personal safety. The prosecution says that the complainant had also filed other complaints in Fier and Durrës regarding the same situation.
After administering the evidence and completing the investigations, the Fier Prosecution Office has concluded that the elements of the criminal offense of stalking exist and has decided to send the case for trial.
"The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier has completed the investigations and is sending to trial citizen AM, accused of committing the criminal offense of "Stalking" provided for in article 121/a paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code.
From the investigations into criminal proceedings no. 295 of 2025, it was proven that, on 10.02.2025, citizen LC filed a report against citizen AM, a police officer, with whom she had a relationship for 17 years and separated in 2024. During this period, citizen AM, through repeated actions, harassed the victim through telephone communication but also physically, exerting psychological pressure on her, causing her a continuous and severe state of anxiety or fear for her personal safety.
For this fact, the complainant has filed several reports with the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Fier and Durrës.
The prosecution says that at the end of the investigation it was proven that the defendant AM has committed elements of the criminal offense "Stalking" provided for by article 121/a paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code ," the police said.
