The Israel-Iran conflict, Ditmir Bushati: Alarm bells, the world seems to be

Former Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati spoke about the recent clashes between Israel and Iran. He said that the conflict between them is an alarm bell about where the world order is going.

According to him, the world seems to be experiencing a Third World War, which is characterized by the development of a series of conflicts that are apparently regional but have a very large impact. He said that the war is no longer just about TV, stressing that the international system is receiving strong blows.

"I have the impression that we are getting used to conflicts and wars, 2 years ago Russia's attack on Ukraine seemed unprecedented to us, and we seem to lack the sense of criticism. We may be living in World War III. The Third World War is characterized by the development of a series of conflicts that are apparently regional, but which have a very large impact. With the war in Ukraine, since food prices to oil have risen, life has become more expensive. We have a shrinking of the middle class, waves of refugees, since 2015 with the conflict in Syria and on. We have a clash between West and East within Europe about how we treat others, the different. And recently we have an increase in both anti-Semitism and Islamophobia which are fodder for far-right and left-wing parties, and let's not forget that this is an election year in the US and the EU. As much as it looks like a war on TV and as much as it is turning into a 'shirt for meat', it is clear that the international order that we embraced after the fall of communism has been hit hard" , said Bushati pwr "EuroNews".
