Andi Bushati debated with Preç Zogaj regarding the position taken by Albania, through Foreign Minister Elisa Spiropali, towards the suspension of immigrant visas by the US.
Bushati said that our country's position is not coherent and called it "ass licking".
Andi Bushati: Love for America does not grow with Botox injections. We have been told that we are with America, that they support immigrants, that they take in the refugees that America asks of us. These are the values of America that Rilindja has pumped up until now, we love America, that America loves immigrants. Now America says we do not love immigrants. These people say we have the same value as America, that we no longer love immigrants.

Andi Bushati: We will be with the principle or with the ass-sucking.
Preç Zogaj: Now you want Albania to go against America? It won't.
Andi Bushati: America has turned against itself. We are discussing something specific.

Andi Bushati: I think you shouldn't be as snobbish as you are with Russia and America. Nations are held together by dignity.
Preç Zogaj: Where did you see the ass-sucking?
Andi Bushati: From today's statement (by Spiropali). We have reached the Nano government, in the Iraq war, Albania has declared war on Saddam without America declaring it yet. America does not respect you if you become a vassal of the Americans.
Preç Zogaj: I am against vassalage, I am for partnership. I am for Albania to remain in this alliance. We are discussing a decision that we did not like. But it is a decision. Albania's relations with America extend over time. They have done us great services, should we kick them because we do not like a decision? It is temporary. This is how America works. There are many centers of power.
