Analyst Lavdrim Lita spoke about the results of the participation in the local by-elections in 5 municipalities. He described the low participation as an alarm, especially for the opposition.
Lita said that based on the very low figures published by the CEC, it appears that only patronage agents and their family members and those with clientelist interests voted in the November 9 elections.
"Today, local government is being abandoned by Albanians. The Municipality of Vlora has been governed for 12 years by the SP and every drop of rain floods it and there is no reaction, this leads to the surrender of citizens and this is an alarm for political parties, the DP and the SP, we have a disconnection of citizens from politics.
"Only patronage supporters and their families voted, and those with clientelist interests, we have an abandonment ," Lita told "News 24".
