As the election campaign continues with festive rhythms, in Laç "gunfire is heard like in '97," according to Dashamir Shehi, who reported another serious incident involving firearms, in which five people were injured, including a woman selling candles.
"Not even holy places are respected anymore," declared Shehi, strongly demanding the creation of a National Gendarmerie as a response to the lack of order and state authority, which according to him has been completely displaced by Edi Rama's campaign.
" In Albania, gunfire is heard like in Vlora in 1997! 5 people were injured by gunfire today in Laç, among them a woman who was selling candles near the Church. These people no longer even know respect for holy places. Where is the role of the state? Or is it focused on Edi Rama's campaign. Wishing the injured a speedy recovery, I strongly request the creation of the National Gendarmerie, as an efficient instrument for establishing order and security. The creation of the National Gendarmerie, and the severing of the Police's ties with crime, are key points of the platform of the 'Right for Development' coalition, which holds number 9 on the ballot in the elections of May 11, 2025 ," said Dashamir Shehi.
