Analyst Plator Nesturi stated that the United States of America is seriously committed to ending the protracted political and institutional transition in Albania, through supporting justice and selecting figures with integrity.
" To complete this long 35-year transition, where they have been truly dominated by political dinosaurs, without giving room for new contributions and new careers, the US is supporting justice reform and is pushing for a crackdown on corruption and abuse of power ," Nesturi said.
According to him, the attention of the international factor is not limited only to justice, but also to the new dynamics that are being attempted to be introduced into Albanian politics through support for individuals with a clean background and a different vision for the future.
" The new parameters have been seen. This idea that the US has moved away from the Balkans or Albania is completely untrue. On the contrary, they are attentive and involved in the political and institutional developments of the country ," Nesturi emphasized on "A2 CNN".
He added that this commitment could bring improvement in parliamentary life and within political parties, which he called “still in the freezer.” According to him, through this line of support, the path could be opened for internal reform and the inclusion of names that truly represent the interests of citizens.
Nesturi's statements come at a time when the debate about the role of the US and the EU in Albanian justice and political life has returned to public opinion, between critics who speak of their departure and those who see a silent but active presence.
