Criminalistics expert Ervin Karamuço has commented on the statements of the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, that MP Nallbati was raped in protest on the orders of the Deputy Director General, Sokol Bizhga.
In his statements to the media, Berisha also recalled events from '97. He mentioned an episode of an attack on a police vehicle while leaving Saranda, where an armed group that had set up a checkpoint opened fire on the vehicle.
As a result, one police officer lost his life and was burned inside the vehicle, another was kidnapped, while Bizhga was injured. He, together with another officer, first arrived in Gjirokastra to receive medical assistance and then in Tirana.
Karamuço said that the leader of the democrats should deal with the one who ordered him to settle in Saranda, adding that it was Berisha himself when they were in power.
According to the expert, Bizhga should not be held responsible for the incident, as, according to him, he was ordered to go to Saranda to establish order and security. He also emphasized that the police are filing criminal reports with SPAK regarding this matter.
