The police processed several DP deputies for yesterday's protest, with Belind Këlliçi among the names that stood out. But the latter has been in the US for about 10 days.
Initially, it was thought that it was a police blunder, but its spokesman Genti Mullai clarified to "News 24" that it is true. According to him, the police had information that Këlliçi was among the organizers of the acts of violence.
" It is not a slip of the tongue, Mr. Këlliçi was not prosecuted for opposing police officers but for organizing the rally. The police had the necessary information and the materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office. After the speeches at the rally in front of the prime minister's office ended, the acts of violence began. The police showed restraint. They called on him to distance himself from acts of violence. Tear gas was used in front of the parliament after the attack was of high intensity in front of the police officers ," he said.
