Analyst Ermal Hasimja has criticized the Democratic Party's strategy towards small opposition parties, calling it unstable and contradictory.
Hasimja stated that the DP is in a political paradox: on the one hand, it seeks cooperation with new forces, while on the other hand, it negotiates with the Socialist Party changes to the Electoral Code that, according to him, "fall on the heads" of these parties.
According to Hasimja, the DP needs opposition cooperation more than anyone else, as it is the largest force, but is not willing to make real concessions or sacrifices.
" It makes no sense to seek cooperation with small parties and, at the same time, agree with the Socialist Party on changes to the Electoral Code that harm them ," he emphasized on the "Off the Record" show.
The analyst assessed that it would be politically and morally more honest for the DP, for as long as the alliance requires, to reach out to new parties, especially on vital issues such as the Electoral Code. He added that these parties bring votes that would never go to the DP, creating a greater opposition potential.
Hasimja also criticized the lack of a common strategy in the opposition, emphasizing that, faced with a government that he described as "extremely weak," the main problem remains the lack of real opposition cooperation.
