Journalist Artan Hoxha has revealed details of Altin Ndoc's escape from the prison hospital in Durres. He stated that he planned everything in detail, while stating that the hospital had become a favorite environment for prisoners.
According to him, it was even known as the “suite.” According to Hoxha, the hospital premises where prisoners were accommodated were also used for other purposes, including special meetings.
" How did this environment, this suite, function? Because, in that environment you have to, you have to go normally, after you have been examined by the prison doctor, and he has noticed that you need specialized treatment, which he cannot provide in the prison premises. The prison itself has its own hospital facilities inside, which treats prisoners for the needs they may have. It treats them, that is, it provides outpatient treatment and then they continue to stay in the prison's internal regime. In this specific case, this had become very frequent in Durrës and was known as, how should I say, as a kind of phenomenon. So, some of the VIP convicts, not all of them had this access, but some of the VIP convicts took advantage of these permits that were easily granted and stayed for days in this environment, which was located in the Durrës city hospital. So, they stayed there for days because they had favors and facilities. And among the favors that they had, there they had the facilities that they had, they did special meetings.
