The Traffic Police have increased control and monitoring measures on the country's main roads, especially on the axes that connect cities with tourist areas, where a significant increase in vehicle flow is expected during the summer season.

As part of these measures, authorities are using radars, smart cameras, and other technological devices to identify violations that endanger road safety and prevent accidents.

The Head of the Road Safety Sector, Ledian Kerka, in an interview with Ora News, announced that special attention will be paid to high-traffic axes, mainly those leading to tourist destinations.

According to Kerka, increasing patrols in the field and continuous monitoring of traffic will enable rapid intervention in the event of traffic jams, accidents or other situations that may affect the normal movement of vehicles.

The police warn that during the summer season there will be zero tolerance for traffic violators. Speeding, using a mobile phone while driving, wrong overtaking and dangerous maneuvers will be punished according to the legislation in force.

Kerka emphasized that road safety is a shared responsibility and called on drivers to be careful and respect traffic rules to avoid accidents during the summer months.
