Ervin Salianji's lawyer, Ledio Braho, said that they withdrew from the request for postponement of the execution of the sentence in the Court of Tirana and that they are waiting for a decision from the Supreme Court.
Braho has also spoken about the meetings with Salianji, saying that he is calm, stressing that he will take the decision of political punishment to the end.
"Today's request was without object and we gave it up. We are waiting for the request submitted to GJL, which will be judged on October 15, as the procedural tool there is reasonable to judge and we are waiting for a decision from the high court.
During meetings he is calm, it is a matter he chose himself. All persons, when their freedoms are restricted, also have the problem of executing the decision, but since he is serving a sentence, the politician will take it to the end. We expect suspension from the high court due to those circumstances. It is a matter of a public denunciation, the appeal decision has not been clarified and we do not know the reasons why the decision of the first instance was left in force. Since Salianji's mandate has not been replaced, we expect that they will take this issue into account and we expect that they will take these issues into account and decide on the suspension of the execution", said Braho.
