Vetingu has finally dismissed the prosecutor of the Tirana prosecutor's office, Ardian Braho. The Special Board of Appeal decided today to uphold the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission no. 469, which belongs to this revaluation subject.
On November 1, 2021, the KPK decided to dismiss the prosecutor of Tirana, Ardian Braho, after concluding that he has not declared the assets correctly and elements that raise suspicions about the concealment of the assets have been found.
The judicial panel that examined the appeal of the prosecutor in the Special Appeals College consisted of Rezarta Schuetz chairperson, Natasha Mulaj relator, Albana Shtylla, Ina Rama, Sokol Çomo members.
The decision to dismiss him was made with 2 votes in favor and one against.
The majority observed ambiguity in the destination of some monetary amounts sent by the aunt who lives in the United States of America, USA to the subject's father's account, while Zhegu argues that sufficient income of other related persons has been proven for the creation of values in question, and it does not appear that Braho or his family members have used them or had an interest in them.
Braho has been the prosecutor of several important cases in Tirana, among others he has investigated the case of the murder of the young Klodian Rasha or that of Lulzim Basha, for "Skënderbej" Square, a case which was dismissed, with the argument that the decision was taken by Municipal Council of Tirana.
Also, Ardian Braho has investigated the Bank of Albania and the former governor Ardian Fullani or the file of the eavesdropping device in the office of the secretary of the former Minister of the Interior, Saimir Tahiri.
But the KPK in its decision on the other 2 criteria positively evaluated the prosecutor for the purity of the image and capable of professionalism.
