The three-stage testing process for State Police ranks has been completed and all applicants have been notified of final scoring. In the order signed by the General Director of the State Police, the criterion for obtaining the rank is passing the threshold of 70% of points.
In total, about 1,012 police officers competed for the ranks of Commissioner, Chief Commissioner, Director and First Director in the State Police. Divided by category, the State Police has previously stated that the ranks will be awarded to 12 "First Managers", 40 "Directors", 200 "Chief Commissioners" and 320 "Commissioners", a total of 572 ranks.
The process went through three stages, the first was the criteria and points of the file, the second was the written test and the third stage was the oral test, but in total, out of the 572 quotas that were determined, the threshold of 70% of the points have passed and they have won about 676 applicants.
88 chief commissioners competed for the rank of Director and in total only 35 were declared winners who crossed the threshold of 70 points, out of 40 which was the quota.

The order signed by the Director General of the Police shows that the ranks of the applicants who have passed the threshold of 70 points, but are ranked below the established quota, are now in the hands of the Director General of the Police.
In the order signed by the General Director of Police, dated February 19, 2024, it is stated that in case of the needs of the State Police during the competition for ranks, Rrumbullaku has the right to increase up to 30% of the determined quotas the number of rank winners .

Although the process was monitored by the Directorate of Professional Standards in the General Directorate of the State Police and supervised by AMP and representatives of international missions that assist the State Police, this process has not been transparent to the media and the public as there has been no public display of test results of applicants.
