The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has started investigations after the serious event, where 3-year-old Brian Spahiu lost his life after a surgical intervention in a private dental clinic.
After the referral made by the Police, the Prosecutor's Office seized the clinical records in the QSUT but also in the private clinic where the intervention was made.
Prosecutor Alma Felaj is dealing with the investigation of the case.
Only the anesthesiologist Roland Xhaxho, who assisted the 3-year-old child who died after dental surgery, reacted for the first time after the media announcement of the tragic event.
According to him, the reason why all the child's teeth were cured in one session is because the child was born with heart problems, for which he was operated on two years ago, as the doctor says, and in this case, since the teeth had an infection, they had to treated as soon as possible so that the infection did not go to the heart, since the minor had problems.
In his statement, it is said that the child came out of the clinic awake, in his father's arms and looking for his little brother.
"Mesa's condition became complicated at home and then she was sent to the QSUT premises by her parents. "His health improved significantly in the first 24 hours, but then, unfortunately, it worsened, despite endless efforts," Xhaxho writes.
But the family members say otherwise.
The father of the 3-year-old, Bledar Spahiu, told the media that the boy was in a serious condition after the intervention.
He accuses the doctor Roland Xhaxho of injecting him with a high dose of narcosis.
After the statement of the anesthesiologist Roland Xhaxho, who said that the minor had heart problems, the father denies and says that the child had no more problems and publishes the prescription where the pediatrician Albert Koja wrote that it is not a problem for the minor to carry out the intervention in mouth.
The father claims that the high dose of narcosis had damaged the 3-year-old's other vital organs, such as the kidneys and liver. The family members say that the dentist intervened in 14 teeth.
"The current situation has been very difficult. The part of the heart I will take out the letter again. As a parent, if he had problems, after talking with the doctors there, I would not take him there at all. It is a 3-year-old child. You make 14 teeth, I don't. Part of the lek. No one has mentioned it. The dentist's card, he has extracted 14 filling teeth. He received 700,000 lek for the filling. The anesthesia had damaged all his organs, the liver, the kidneys, everything," said the father.
Bledar Spahiu says that doctor Xhaxho is lying and that according to him they should be seized. While adding that through the cameras of the businesses around the clinic it can be proven that the boy was in a serious condition and according to him they called the doctor several times, but he did not answer.
"He received 700,000 lek for filling. He is there with cameras, the cameras were seized by the police ," he says.
