The police have published the plan of measures for the protest called by the Democratic Party in front of the Prime Minister's Office, this afternoon (November 17).
The Blues indicate that permission has been granted from 18:00-20:00, while there are several roads where vehicle traffic is blocked.
Police announcement:
Representatives of the political entity Democratic Party of Albania have notified the Tirana Police of the holding of a rally today, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
Based on and in implementation of the law "On Gatherings", the Tirana Police has taken all measures to ensure the smooth conduct of the gathering, specifically:
-from 14:00, vehicles will not be allowed to park on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard, on "Mother Teresa" square, on "Ismail Qemali" street, from the intersection of Elbasani Street with "Ibrahim Rrugova" street, on "Papa Gjon Pali II" street, on "Jeanne D'Ark" boulevard and "Bajram Curri" boulevard, from the intersection of Elbasani Street with "Ibrahim Rugova" street;
-From 3:00 PM until the end of the rally, there will be a traffic jam on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard, from the intersection near the Ministry of Interior to "Mother Teresa" Square, as well as on "Ukraine e Lirë", "Papa John Paul II" and "Ismail Qemali" streets.
Depending on the development of the rally, there may be restrictions on vehicle traffic on other road axes. In case of blockage, to help citizens who will circulate on these axes, Tirana Police has taken measures to divert vehicle traffic to alternative routes.
Tirana Police appeals to citizens to avoid driving on road axes that will be blocked and to use alternative routes, so as not to impede the free movement of participants in the rally.
