The protest march continued into the evening hours, as thousands of citizens arrived at the Rinas overpass area, causing significant traffic jams and difficulties in the movement of vehicles towards the International Airport.
After starting the protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office and marching through some of Tirana's main streets, the crowd continued its route towards the Tirana-Durres highway, where one side of the road has been blocked by protesters for several hours.
Upon arriving at the Rinas overpass, movement has slowed down even further. Protesters walk in groups, stopping occasionally and at times sitting on the asphalt, completely blocking the passage of vehicles and creating long lines of vehicles.
As a result of the situation, obstacles have also been recorded for drivers traveling towards the airport, while many vehicles have remained blocked in traffic for a long time.
Throughout the march, chants against the government and the political class continued. "Rama resign," "Your end has come," "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison," and "Revolution" were some of the slogans that were repeatedly heard from the crowd.
The march, which has lasted for several hours, continues to remain dynamic, while there is still no official announcement on where the protest will stop or how long the road blockade will last.
Meanwhile, Police officers are on the ground to monitor the situation and manage traffic, while drivers of vehicles heading to Rinas Airport are advised to consider possible delays and plan their travel with extra time.
