Leaders of the Ministry of Education of Albania, have appeared in the interceptions of the Italian Prosecutor's Office, as favoring in violation of the law in exchange for material rewards, the university college "Wisdom" in Tirana, which sold fake diplomas in Italy, but according to the investigations in Albania of the region.
In the investigation file, it is said that the Italian owner Savino Cianci of the university college "Wisdom" and his wife Lucia Catalano, gave gifts to the Chairman of the Board of the Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education, Shqiponja Telhai and the former Minister of Education, Evis Kushi, as a reward for the accreditation of university programs.
Although they are under the scrutiny of Italian justice, both denied the fact that they were rewarded with gifts by the owner of the "Wisdom" university college, but the orders and decisions they signed show that they have given abusive favors to this college, which is a factory of fake diplomas.
According to the official data available to "Pamphlet", it turns out that Evis Kushi, from September 2020 to September 2023, who was the Minister of Education; and the Chairperson of the Accreditation Board of Universities, Shqiponja Telhai, from July 2021 when Prime Minister Edi Rama appointed her until July 2024, have approved 18 fictitious reports on the allegedly high quality of programs, methodologies, curricula and scientific teaching in the university college "Wisdom" and have accredited 4 programs of branches and new subjects, with control reports and false conclusions.
Lindita Nikolla, during the years 2013-2018 as Minister of Education, has also done a favor to the "Wisdom" university college; specifically, when 2 weeks after the suspension of the license on August 4, 2014, he returned the license and accredited 4 branches and 13 educational programs, although the license was suspended for fictitious teaching of exams and sale and awarding of undeserved diplomas.
"Wisdom" university college was licensed with VKM No. 672, dated 27. 09. 2006 in the "Berisha" government, but was accredited by order of Minister Lindita Nikolla and Decision No. 103, dated 10.11.2017 of the Accreditation Board, paving the way for activity as a Higher Education Institution in Albania.
This accreditation of Lindita Nikolla was until September 9, 2020 for the "Finance-Banking" branch in the first Bachelor's cycle, while Minister Evis Kushi extended her accreditation until September 2013.
But Ogerta Manastirliu, two weeks after taking office as Minister of Education, with Decision No. 98, dated September 23, 2023, extended the "Wisdom" university college's accreditation until September 2028, adding permission for master's studies in the "Criminal Law" branch.
We clarify that the two former ministers of education, Lindita Nikolla e Evis Kushi and the current minister Ogerta Manastirliu, have licensed the "Wisdom" university college, with false evaluation reports, for study programs in the Bachelor's cycle for Law, Foreign Languages, Finance-Banking , Business Management, Business Administration, Social Psychology, School Psychology and Education and 2-year professional studies for legal assistant and manager in administration and local government.
