"Power threatens the state", the journalist: SPAK deals with 5

Journalist Basir Çollaku commented on the closed-door meeting between the Head of the KLP and the Minister of the Interior Taulant Balla.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, he emphasized that we are at the moment when the government threatens the state.

Among other things, he underlined that there are prosecutors in the Special Prosecutor's Office, but they are insufficient to solve the files that are in the institution. Çollaku further said that SPAK deals with 5,000 lek of police officers, while the ministers' files sleep.

"We are at the moment where the government threatens the state. Part of the mutilation of the investigation is not controlled by the prosecutor. The media must be selective. Nuredin Duman's testimony has brought many events. And many things emerged from Tafan's testimony, but they must be verified whether they are true or not. There is little show in this story. The Special Prosecutor's Office has prosecutors, but they are insufficient for the amount of files. They deal with 5,000 lek policemen, but there are files of ministers who are still sleeping. Prosecutors must deal with all parties who have committed a criminal offense. The terrain that illegality, mafia and crime have gained in the institutions is very critical", he said.
