Landslides and rock falls in the last 24 hours, as a result of rainfall, continue to cause problems in the Kukës region .
The rainfall intensified during the evening hours, creating a serious situation with falling rocks, debris and the presence of water on the road. Meanwhile, snowfall was recorded in the northern areas, at altitudes above 1100 meters.
In Tropoja , due to rainfall, on the Dushaj-Lekbibaj road segment, in the early hours of the morning, there was a landslide of rock masses. Work continues to remove the rock mass, while the road remains passable.
National and municipal roads continue to be under pressure from falling rocks and debris. Contractors, with vehicles and workers, are on the ground without interruption to clear the road axes.
According to the Prefecture of Kukës, all national road axes are passable. The entire Kukës region is supplied with electricity, except for the village of Kam, the Bytyç Administrative Unit, and the Tropojë municipality.
