American citizen Tracy Shannon Lyn, who has been living in Bar, Montenegro for four years, reported to the police that her minor daughter, Zynlee Ryan, was kidnapped by her father Thomas Hollenbeck.
According to Shannon Lyn, her ex-husband illegally crossed the Montenegrin-Albanian border with their 6-year-old daughter.
"I have been notified through the American Embassy in Podgorica that the father has requested a passport for the child at the American Embassy in Tirana", says Shannon Lyn for "Primorski Portal".
"In Montenegro, the court proceedings regarding the custody of our daughter are continuing. The court has not yet issued a final decision. Last year, in September, the court allowed Thomas to see our daughter twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays from 4-9pm. He started using this right only in June of this year. It happened that he was late, but he stated that these are objective reasons, such as traffic jams, etc.
Until last night he always notified by phone. However, last night when he did not bring the child, I called him, but his phone was switched off. During the night after 22:00, I went to the Bar Security Center and reported that the child had not returned home. I was very worried. I was afraid that he had kidnapped her. "Unfortunately, this was confirmed this morning," concluded Lyn.
According to her, the American Embassy in Tirana confirmed to their colleagues in Podgorica that they had seen the child and that he looked good physically, while the latter reported everything to the police and Interpol.
It is up to Interpol to order the American Embassy in Tirana to request the extradition of the six-year-old child to the mother in Montenegro.
In her statement to the police, Shannon Lyn stated that Thomas Hollenbeck had been convicted of several criminal offences.
