A lateral crack in the road surface was detected in the early hours of this Tuesday morning in the Boboshticë-Dardhe segment, forcing the restriction of traffic to one lane.
According to preliminary information, damage has been identified on the side of the road, while vehicle movement is being carried out with caution and under the guidance of temporary signage placed on the ground.
Representatives of the road authority have inspected the area to assess the situation and determine the measures to be taken to stabilize the segment. Until a technical decision on the intervention is made, drivers are instructed to respect the restrictions and exercise increased caution.
The situation on this axis comes at a time when similar problems have appeared on several roads in the southeast, including landslides and asphalt cracks, which has raised concerns about traffic safety and the quality of the infrastructure.
The Boboshticë–Dardhe segment is considered an important connecting node between the city of Korça and the tourist village of Dardhe, experiencing increased traffic especially during the tourist season. Authorities are expected to come up with a more detailed assessment of the causes and necessary interventions.
