The Minister of Health, Albana Koçiu, has announced that at today's meeting of the Council of Ministers, the salary increase for white shirts has been decided.
The salaries of general doctors will increase by 20,000 ALL above their salary, while that of nurses by 15,000 ALL. 20,000 employees of the health system benefit from the salary increase.
"Today's decision continues to increase even more the salaries and bonuses for health workers. It started in 2023 with a historic increase of specialist doctors by 50 thousand lek above their salary. It continues this year to increase the salaries of general doctors by 20 thousand lek above the existing salary and all nurses with 15 thousand lek above the existing salary. This is a promise kept by the government and Prime Minister Rama. We will have a respect for the figure of the doctor to place him in equal positions with the professionals of the system health system in European countries. 20 thousand employees of the health system benefit from today's decision. There are also employees of the health system who benefit from a 15-20% increase in their current salary," said Koçiu.
